🔥 – Avoiding Burnout – 🔥☝Hear us out! Are you careful to yourself? If there are any doubts – check our unusual anti-burnout tricks! ❤‍🩹Tip 1.🧠 Active lazy mode🛋️ Solve 1 tough physics problem while lying on a couch or gym mat. 🕺 Change posture = change brain state.Less grind, more brain flow! 🧠Tip 2.🙈 Stupid question hour ✍️ Pick 1 hour daily. Write down ONLY the questions that feel embarrassing. 😅Tomorrow: answer them.🌫 Clears mental fog + kills shame-fueled burnout. 🤯Tip 3.🚇 Subway rule🎬 Each trip = 1 short ISPhO video at 1.5x speed. No notes. No pausing. 🤔 After 3 rides recall 1 weird fact. Tiny doses = zero exhaustion. 🤗☝And remember: ISPhO is a challenge, not a punishment. Try to enjoy your prep, soak in the process! ☺#no_burnout

Hey, ISPhO squad! 👋Ready for new Nobel Backstages? You know the prizes. Now meet the chaos behind them. 😈Here’s what textbooks don’t tell you.👇👏 Ernest Lawrence (1939) – First cyclotron cost $25 💸🔧 Lawrence built the first working cyclotron in 1931 using a brass chamber, sealing wax, and a borrowed magnet from an old radio. Total budget: ~$25 (around $500 today). 🤑📝 His grad student held the vacuum seal with his hand during first tests.🧲 Later versions got bigger — one magnet weighed 220 tons and was shipped by railroad flatcar. 💪🧪 For ISPhO: The physics hasn't changed. f=qB/(2πm) still works. No $25 million needed. 😉👌#nobel_story

💬 — The Scientist's Speech — 💬"Science makes people reach for truth, and that means they must also learn to be patient." © Lise Meitner🤯 Sometimes you stare at a problem for an hour and your brain just freezes.Useful habit: walk away for 10 minutes. Seriously. Get water, stretch, stare at a wall, or pet your doggy. ☕🐶(But not during your online exam, please 😅)🧠 🌀Your subconscious will keep working. When you come back – half the time the solution just appears.✨ Not magic. Science. ✨#quotes

Hello, ISPhO fam! 👋What about physical coffee break? 😉🥛☕️ Imagine: you pour cold milk into hot coffee. No stirring needed — they just start mixing. Hot coffee rises, chills at the top, then sinks back down. That's convection. 🌪🌍🔥 Same thing happens inside Earth's mantle — hot melted rock rises, cools, sinks, and pushes tectonic plates around like bumper cars. 🚘✨🌕 And Venus? Its entire atmosphere is one giant, slow-mo convection cell, hauling heat from the day side to the night side. No spoon needed for 500 million years. 🥄⭐⬇️⏳ Imagine slowing down the mixing in your coffee cup by a factor of a million. 👏 Congrats — you're now watching Venus weather! Same moves, just planet-sized.🌀 Next time you stir — or don't stir — remember: you're holding a planet in your hands. 🤲🌍#daily_ph

💎 – Scientific Experience – 💎Hey, ISPhO squad! 👋  Ever heard of Nobel Backstage? Bet you haven't... until now 😎 We're kickin’ off our new Scientific Experience series! 'Cause even geniuses have "wait, WHAT?" stories 😅👏 Franck & Hertz (1925) – They thought they failed 😬💥 They sent electrons through mercury vapor and saw the current drop at 4.9 V. But their detector was literally a thumb‑sized tube with copper foil and a piece of glass. No fancy electronics.🤔 When they saw the drop, they thought: “Our apparatus is broken.”They almost didn’t publish.Turns out — that drop was proof of Bohr’s atom! Nobel Prize oops. 👉👈🧪 Moral — if your experiment gives weird repeating dips, don't panic. That might be quantization. ✨🌌#nobel_story

Dear participants and national team leaders,We would like to inform you that this year’s International Science Physics Olympiad (ISPhO) will be held exclusively online from June 21 to June 30, 2026.This decision was made in order to ensure as wide and safe access to participation for school students from different countries as possible, given the high probability of unforeseen logistical difficulties due to the current global situation. This year, we believe it is particularly important to focus on the following: - maintaining the tradition of international cooperation in the natural sciences;- providing equal opportunities for talented school students regardless of their location;- ensuring a high standard of organization and objectivity in the evaluation of results.- creating a comfortable environment for you to demonstrate your knowledge and skills in physics. The Olympiad will retain all its key elements: theoretical and experimental rounds, a unified scoring system, and awards for the winners. The online experimental round will be entirely devoted to computer modeling and data processing. Participants will be provided with software that simulates the operation of scientific equipment.Since the competition will be held exclusively online, participation is completely free of charge. We invite teams from all countries to join ISPhO and show their skills in this international intellectual competition! We ask the heads of national physics teams to send an email to ispho@phystech.edu to receive further instructions.Stay tuned for updates on our channel!Sincerely,The ISPhO Organizing Committee
